LATIN AMERICA INVESTIGATIONS & INTELLIGENCE
Difficult questions answered through people, records and context.
JAG Advisory helps clients investigate people, companies, assets and situations in Latin America when desk research or the public record alone does not provide the answer.
WHAT PROBLEMS I SOLVE
• Corporate and executive due diligence
• Reputational and integrity enquiries
• Source-led investigations
• Asset and relationship research
• Disputes and litigation support
• Strategic intelligence
HOW I WORK
Each assignment is designed around the question rather than a fixed product. Depending on the scope, I combine Spanish-language source enquiries; local public, corporate, judicial and regulatory records; OSINT; and regional political and business context. Findings are synthesised into clear English reporting for the client.
My strongest direct coverage is Mexico, Central America, Colombia and Peru, with wider Spanish-speaking Latin America coverage through established networks and trusted partners.
CASE STUDY
Colombia — Executive Due Diligence
A recent assignment involved due diligence on a senior Colombian executive, combining six confidential Spanish-language interviews with targeted Colombian database and public-record research. The interviews were one investigative input alongside documentary research and follow-up on specific reputational and historical issues.
The work enabled the client to test professional and reputational questions that were not fully answered by conventional English-language or public-domain research.
BACKGROUND
My investigative work draws on more than a decade reporting and analysing Latin American politics, business and economics, including years living and working in Guatemala, Mexico and Peru.
My work for CNN, LatinNews and Oxford Analytica has involved building and testing information through local sources, interpreting political and commercial context, and explaining complex findings clearly for international audiences.
